Get your 2024 ~ 8.5 X 11 in ~ Wall Calendar of stunning photos from Mary Ellen Connett MacDonald’s favorite Wild Mustang Encounters from her trip to the Sand Wash Basin, CO in July 2023. All proceeds will go to the care of Rocket, a former band stallion from the Sand Wash Basin who was sadly captured in a helicopter roundup in Sept. 2021. When Rocket was up for adoption in January, 2022, Mary Ellen knew she had to get him out of the holding pens and give him a new life in her therapeutic horsemanship program, EquiHeart. 

Rocket was the very first wild mustang Mary Ellen had ever encountered on her first trip to the Sand Wash Basin. She formed an incredible bond with him through his compassionate behavior with his mares and offspring who were grieving a recently deceased mare. Rocket led his entire band back to say their good byes to the deceased mare, Hope, and granted access back into the band for the foal, Wenatchee.
